Cycle to Synod - Tuesday, June 11

Do you like to ride your bicycle? Do you like long rides through beautiful western Illinois rolling hill country? Cycle to Synod may be a great opportunity for you to get some mileage on that bicycle this spring. Cycle to Synod is an event sponsored by the World Hunger Sub-Committee of the Northern Illinois Synod. It begins on Tuesday, June 11th at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Princeton. The ride will make stops at the Hennepin Canal Parkway State Park, Zion Lutheran, Kewanee, Cambridge Lutheran, Cambridge, First Lutheran, Geneseo, Augustana Lutheran, Andover and First Lutheran, Rock Island. This ride will take three days, with overnight stops in Kewanee and Geneseo.

The purpose of the ride is to promote awareness and raise funds for ELCA World Hunger. If you are able to ride and want to sign up to ride, please see Pastor Jamie. If you would like to contribute to ELCA World Hunger by sponsoring the Cycle to Synod, you may make your check out to Northern Illinois Synod, and write on the Memo Line "Cycle to Synod". That check may be placed in our offering, and we will send it directly to the synod office, or you can send it to Amy Hoening, Rockford Area Lutheran Ministries Office, 200 North First Street, Rockford, IL 61101.

Any other questions about Cycle to Synod and its connection to ELCA World Hunger, please speak with Pastor Jamie.
